A stockbroker is a professional who buys and sells securities on behalf of clients at a Stock Exchange in return for a commission. In Zimbabwe, stockbrokers are licensed by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Zimbabwe (“SECZ”) and have to be admitted as members of an exchange. Stockbrokers are important market players who execute purchase and sale transactions on behalf of investors and also offer financial advice to investors.
